What a Noose-ance
Over the past six months, the media has been littered with various racist no-no's. Just today, there are TWO on the frontpage of CNN -- that stupid bounty hunter Dog guy thing and his stream of "n-words" and this hanging of nooses in various locations. The Jena 6 thing, the nappy headed hoes ... all of it.
Honestly, people -- I'm sick to death of it. I read yesterday that the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) said that the key to defeating racism was through education.
Shut the fuck up.
The key to defeating racism is for people to stop being assholes about it. Perhaps if we didn't HAVE an EEOC people wouldn't feel obliged to think about having to hire someone simply because their black or yellow or whatever. Whatever happened to hiring people because they were the best candidate for the job?
Stop babying people. We're all constitutionally equal -- oh, except fags -- they're less than everyone else. If you want to be treated equal -- be equal. If you want to be equal, quit crying because Bobby-Jo called you a stupid name on the playground. You aren't the only one to have shitty things said/done to them. Quit falling back on your "heritage of slavery" and what not. You aren't the only ones who were/are oppressed.
Yes, I agree the nooses were offenced/death-threatish. Uncalled for, period. But rather than treating it as a racism crime, treat it like the victims are equal and not some segregated group. Treat the crime as a death threat and proceed accordingly.
Equal. It's an adjective, not just a sugar substitute. If racism is to be eradicated via education, perhaps you should start with understanding the meaning of the word. And I mean that for everyone (again, except fags, because we aren't constitutionally equal, fashionably supreme, perhaps, but not constitutionally equal).
