Dreaming of Kidaj

Adam went on an adventurous foray into the word of cat naps to film this rare footage of my little Kidaj stealing away into dreamland.

My Sancturary

Since Adam has been here, there has been considerably less playing of World of Warcraft than what I normally play.  Granted, there have been a lot of unexpected events that have happened over the past two weeks, as well as the general (very enjoyable) company of Adam.  One of the things that has been a topic of conversation is different video game platforms and my favorite series (Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy).

So I dusted off the PS2 and introduced Adam to Kingdom Hearts.  And it made me realize just how much I not only enjoyed playing the game and unwrapping the story, but how much I miss that process, the personal involvment in an elaborate story line that consumes me to the point that here I am. seven years later, and still passionate about the story, the music, and the emotion contained within.  Same with Final Fantasy X.  Such a movie story.  I mean, hello - the ending made me cry.  (I'm such a lil' bitch, I know).

I suppose that I liked them because the stories were really about friendship and love, and watching them grow as you work together through wahtever comes your way -- as magical and crazy as it all is.  Call it sentimental, I guess. But, particularly in Final Fantasy X, the story is just so sad -- and you go through so much (100+ hours of game play) to discover the characters, watch them interact, and really integrate themselves into the plot.  It's hard to not grow to appreciate them and the story.

Did I mention it's good?

Catching Up With The Boy

Once upon a time, I was an avid blogger who was posting multiple times a day and maintaining a regular diary of absurd, crazeh, and otherwise inane rantings.I did that for about 5 years.  I was designing exciting blog layouts that were unique and non-traditional.  And I really enjoyed doing it all, communicating with other bloggers about our crazy nerd lifestyles and rejoicing in our dorky movabletype installations.  CMS was not the word du jour.  When you said "blog" people looked at you like you had a speech impediment.

And then the media caught on and everyone was creating a blog and being cool and trendy. And now, the only things cooler than having a blog are using Twitter and having a Facebook account.

To be honest, the lot of it was starting to give me a rash.  And to be even more honest -- most of it still does.  I have the media to thank for that.  But when I was discussing the topic of blogs with some friends the other night, I began to realize that I miss blogging ... the postings, the comments, the crazy rants about whatever I want to bitch about.

So after a year's haitus, I decided to pick it back up, start fresh with a new domain name.  I still have a back up of my old postings -- but they are not goign to be included here.

So who am I? I'm just another gay with a blog.  A little bit of style, a little bit of attitude, and a whole lot of cuteness.  I'm 32, but still look 26.  (Thanks, Oil of Olay!) I'm not currently in a relationship, but am enjoying the company of my friends immensely.  I am pretty unsocial in terms of going out and having to deal with other gays.  But if a random hot guy/boy/man crosses my path, there is full on oogling/drooling and a quietly muttered "heeeyyyyyyyyy!!!!....."

My drink of choice is Tanqueray and 7, although I have recently become quite fond of the new Absinthes that have recently been introduced in the States.

I love video games.  I play World of Warcraft (not as much as I used to, but I still play), and have all the necessary consoles (wii, ps3, 360, psp, dslite, ps2). My favorite series are still Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy (with FFX being my favorite still).

In a nutshell, that's me.  Pretty simple, really.
